Je suis arrivé avec Hatim (un autre Service Civique marocain) à l’aéroport de Paris-Orly. Nous avons tous les deux fait le trajet jusqu’à Blois, où une formation de préparation a eu lieu pendant cinq jours, et où on a eu l’opportunité de connaître d’autres volontaires de nationalités différentes. Après ces cinq jours, ce fut le moment de départ vers nos missions respectives.
Ma mission consiste à :
*Valoriser et dynamiser l’information et l’animation du public (jeunes), autour de la mobilité et la citoyenneté internationale.
*Développer et expérimenter des outils interactifs et innovants d’animation et de communication.
*Développer l’information autour de la solidarité internationale
*Mettre en place des actions de sensibilisation sur les questions de solidarité internationale.
*Renforcer la dimension internationale/interculturelle au CRIJ et dans le réseau IJ.
J’ai passé du temps à savoir qui fait quoi dans ma structure, et j’ai eu l’occasion, d’échanger avec les salariés/volontaires de l’équipe, pour qu’ils puissent m’expliquer chacun sa fonction au sein du Centre Régional d’Information Jeunesse.
Au quotidien, j’essaie encore de m’adapter au mode de vie d’ici, à la nouvelle culture, au nouveau climat, mais j’ai, quand même, eu plusieurs opportunités comme :
Visiter Paris avec des amis.
Fêter l’halloween, avec d’autres amis volontaires dans leur appartement, et avec Skady qui est en Service Civique à Tours.
Voir REQUIEM de MOZART – par l’Orchestre Philharmonique de le République Tchèque et le Chœur et solistes de l’Opéra de Prague Cathédrale.
Visiter le Parc Floral d’Orléans La Source et le Parc Louis Pasteur à Orléans.
Concernant l’hébergement : Il faut avouer qu’il est assez médiocre… C’est une pièce étroite, mais bien située en centre-ville, et à deux minutes de la Loire.
La langue : Dans les réunions, ou au sein de la structure, j’arrive à comprendre presque tout, mais dans le quotidien, avec un langage plutôt courant et des gens qui parlent un peu vite, je rencontre parfois des problèmes à comprendre, ou à communiquer.
Restauration : Je cuisine chez moi, parfois je mange en dehors… C’est un peu cher les restos ! Mais de temps à autre, ça vaut le coup.
Nouveau climat : J’ai un chauffage dans ma chambre, pour un marocain, ça ne résout pas vraiment le problème, mais ça facilite un peu l’acclimation !
Gestion de l’éloignement de la famille : Je communique avec ma famille au téléphone.
J’attends toujours ma carte de transports, ma carte vitale, mais j’ai déjà ma carte bancaire, et ça marche très bien. La suite bientôt donc !

We arrived Hatim (another Moroccan SC) and I, at the Paris-Orly airport, we found a private driver, who took us to Blois, where a preparation training took place for five days, where we had the opportunity to meet other volunteers of different nationalities. After the five days, we left each to their structure, to begin our missions.
My mission is to:
o Promote and energize information and animation of the public (youngsters) around mobility and international citizenship
o Develop and test interactive and innovative tools for animation and communication
o Develop information around international solidarity
o Set up awareness-raising actions on international solidarity issues
o Strengthen the international / intercultural dimension at CRIJ and in the IJ network.
I spent time to know who does what in the structure, and I had the opportunity to interact with the employees / volunteers of the team, so that they can explain to me each one his function within the CRIJ.
On the daily level, I’m still trying to adapt with the new ‘lifestyle’, the new culture, the new climate, but I still had the opportunity to:
Visit Paris, with friends.
Celebrate Halloween, with other volunteer friends, hassan, josi, hatim, in their flat, with skady who is in Civic Service in Tours.
See REQUIEM by MOZART – by the Czech Republic Philharmonic Orchestra and the Choir and Soloists of the Prague Cathedral Opera.
Visit, the “Parc Floral”, and the “Parc luis Pasteur”.
And many other activities …
The accommodation: Fairly mediocre with a narrow room, but in the city center, and two minutes from the Loire.
Language: In the meetings, or within the structure, I can understand almost everything, but in everyday life, with a rather familiar language, and people who speak a little fast, I sometimes find problems to understand, or to communicate.
Food: I cook at home, and sometimes I eat outside, restaurants are a bit expensive, but from time to time, it’s worth it.
New climate: I have a heating in the room, for a Moroccan, it does not really solve the problem, but still it makes a little easier.
Management of family remoteness: I communicate with my family over the phone.
I’m still waiting for my transport card, my life card, but I already have my credit card, and it works very well.
