Et encore un « Bonjour » de France ! L’hiver est arrivé et je suis ici maintenant depuis près de deux mois. Mais j’ai vécu tellement de choses en si peu de temps que ces deux mois ont passé vite. Alors qu’est-ce qu’un jour en France pour une Allemande qui fait son Service Civique International ?
Tout d’abord, je travaille du lundi au vendredi.
Les lundis, mardis, jeudis et vendredis je travaille de 9h à 11h du matin dans la crèche, puis je vais à l’école maternelle et y travaille de 11h30 à 13h15. Après cela, j’ai ma pause jusqu’à 15h40 ! Plus de deux heures de pause, n’est-ce pas bien ? Je ne peux pas imaginer avoir une si longue pause en Allemagne. Après ma pause, je travaille jusqu’à 18 heures. Le mercredi, je travaille de 9h à 16h30 dans la crèche et j’ai une pause d’une heure, ce qui est assez je pense.
Mes tâches sont très variées dans la crèche et dans la maternelle – surtout, je joue avec les enfants. C’est ma tâche la plus importante et je le fais presque chaque minute. Quand je ne joue pas avec eux, nous déjeunons, je leur sers la nourriture et les aide à manger. Après le déjeuner, les enfants vont dormir et je les aide à s’y préparer. Mais après ma grande pause, il y a pour moi la partie la plus intéressante de la journée: les « TAP » = Temps d’Activité Périscolaire.
C’est comme une activité parascolaire et tous les enfants y participent. Le « TAP » auquel j’appartiens concerne des cultures et des langues étrangères, j’enseigne aux enfants les premières choses à ce sujet – quelle surprise d’appartenir à ce TAP! J’essaie d’apprendre quelques mots allemands aux enfants : nous chantons souvent des chansons ensemble (ma chanson préférée est « Frère Jacques » et la version allemande « Bruder Jakob ») ou encore nous jouons à des jeux durant lesquels les enfants apprennent les chiffres, les couleurs, les légumes et les fruits en allemand.
Le soir, je suis souvent très fatiguée quand je rentre à la maison et on voit sur mes vêtements ce que les enfants ont mangé le midi ou si c’est très boueux dehors. C’est vraiment une mission intéressante. Après quelques passés en Allemagne, j’avais vraiment hâte de retrouver la crèche et l’école parce que j’aime beaucoup travailler avec les enfants et j’aime vraiment la France. Mon rêve est devenu réalité !
Le week-end, je rencontre souvent d’autres volontaires comme Josi, Youssef, Hatim, Carolin et Hassane, car ils vivent tous autour d’Orléans. Nous nous voyons presque chaque week-end et nous nous amusons ensemble. Le weekend dernier je suis allé à Orléans, Youssef et moi sommes allés au « Parc Floral » c’était très beau ! Un autre week-end, Josi et Youssef m’ont rendu visite et nous avons cuisiné ensemble : un jour une cuisine française typique avec des crêpes et des macarons, l’autre jour Josi et ma nourriture préférée d’Allemagne – c’était tellement délicieux ! Mais je me suis aussi fait quelques amis français, mon voisin est nouveau aussi en ville et ensemble nous avons appris à connaître beaucoup de monde. Mercredi dernier, nous sommes allés dans un bar sympa et nous avons joué aux cartes avec des amis. On ne pouvait pas trouver mieux à faire un mercredi soir.
Mais j’ai aussi prévu beaucoup plus et j’attends cela avec impatience : je vais aller à Paris au Marché de Noël, je visiterai d’autres villes et mon ami Tom d’Allemagne vient d’arriver à Tours pour y faire son Service Civique International. And again a „Bonjour“from France! Winter has arrived and I’m here since nearly two months. It also feels like two months because I’ve experienced so much in this short time.
So what is a day in France for a german girl doing her Service Civique International like?
First of all, I work from Monday to Friday.
On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I work from 9-11:15 am in the crib, than I go to the pre-school and work there from 11:30 am -1:15 pm. After this I have my break till 15:40 pm! More than two hours break- isn’t that nice? I can’t imagine having such a long break in Germany. After my break I work till 6 pm. On Wednesday I work from 9am – 4:30 pm in the crib and I have an one hour break- which is enough I think.
My tasks are very multifaceted in the crib and in the pre-school – Most of all, I play with the children. That’s my most important task and I’m doing it nearly every minute. When I am not playing with them, we are having lunch and I serve them the food. After lunch the children are going to sleep and I help them preparing for it. But after my big break there is the most interesting part of the day for me: the „TAP“ (=Temps d’Activité Périscolaire). It’s like an extracurricular activity and every children is taking part in one. The „TAP“ where I belong to is about foreign cultures and languages and teaching the children first things about it – which surprise I belong to this TAP! I try to teach the children some german words, so we often sing songs together (my favorite song is „Frére Jaque“and the german version „Bruder Jakob“) or play games where the children learn the numbers, colours, vegetables and fruits in german.
At the evening I’m often very tired when I come home and on my clothes you will see what the children ate today or if it was very muddy outside. But I really like my job. Back in Germany I was really looking forward to my job because I really like working with children and I really like France so that’s my dream coming true.
At the weekend I often meet the other volunteers like Josi, Youssef, Hatim, Caro and Hassane, because they are all living in Orléans. We visit us nearly every weekend and have fun together. Last weekend I went to Orléans and Youssef and I went to the „Parc-Floral“- very beautiful! Another weekend Josi and Youssef visited me and we cooked together: One day typical french food with Crepes and Macarones, the other day Josis and mine favorite food from Germany- this was sooo delicious! But I also made some french friends, because my neighbour is new in town too and together we got to know a lot of people. Last Wednesday we went to nice bar and played cards with some friends- there couldn’t be something better to do on a Wednesday.
But I’ve also planned much more and I am really looking forward to: I will go to Paris to the Christmas Market, I will visit some other cities and my friend Tom from Germany will move to Tours for doing his Service Civique International there. So be excited for my next post!
