Je suis ici depuis environ deux mois, déjà. J’ai maintenant mon propre appartement, une petite place dans le centre-ville, où je peux trouver tout ce dont j’ai besoin autour de moi.
Gérer votre vie dans un endroit où vous êtes étranger est toujours très difficile; même maintenant j’ai encore des difficultés avec la banque et aussi mon assurance et bien sûr la langue … Pour moi en ce moment c’est assez difficile d’apprendre le français, car j’ai besoin de gérer ma vie, travailler et prendre soin de mon environnement social.
Donc, je dirais toujours que je ne suis pas vraiment intégré en ce moment. Tout fonctionne très lentement et vous n’avez pas le contrôle de beaucoup de choses, mais c’est toujours une bonne expérience que je partage avec beaucoup de gens agréables autour de moi, qui sont toujours prêts à m’aider et je suis reconnaissant pour cela.

My integration!
Now I´m here since about two months, quite a long time that feels very short though. I got my own flat now, a small place in the city center of tours, were I can find everything that I need right around me.
Managing your live in a place, where you are foreign is still very difficult; even now I still have problems with the Bank and also my assurance and of course the language… For me right now it is quite difficult to learn French, because I need to manage my live, work and to take care of my social environment.
So I still would say, that I´m right now not really integrated. Everything works very slow and you won´t have control about much things, but it´s still a good experience that I share with a lot of nice people in my environment, that are always willing to help me and I´m thankful for that.

Visiter la France pour moi n’était pas vraiment une chose planifiée, c’était plutôt une décision spontanée. Donc, je ne pouvais pas imaginer, comment les gens, les circonstances, ni la culture seraient vraiment. Mais après tout ce que j’ai expérimenté en un mois, ce sont des impressions vraiment positives.
J’ai rencontré des gens très gentils, ouverts d’esprit et globalement gentils et chaleureux, bien qu’ils ne me connaissent pas.
Il faut du temps pour entrer dans la culture et les comportements des Français et j’ai mangé suffisamment de baguettes pour le reste de ma vie, mais jusqu’à présent je ne regrette rien.

Visiting France for me was never really a planned thing, more a spontaneous decision I made after I got an offer from a friend. So I could’nt imagine, how the people, the circumstances, nor the culture really would be. But what I have experienced so far, after one month, are really positive impressions. I’ ve met very kind, open minded and overall nice and heartwarming people, which always have treaded me in a nice way, even though I they don’t know me.
It takes some time to get into the culture and behavings of the French people and I have eaten more then enough baguettes for the rest of my life, but so far I regret nothing.
