Actuellement en mission de service civique international au Maroc, je suis logé dans la résidence COS’ONE à Fès. Elle se situe dans la nouvelle ville, quartier Sanabil. Elle est plutôt chouette. En effet, le personnel y est agréable et elle est équipée d’une piscine.
Lors de mon premier week-end, à Rabat, je me suis beaucoup promené. J’ai donc pu visiter la Médina tout d’abord, puis le phare sur la plage, et je suis passé par le grand jardin, très impressionnant tant la flore y est développée.
Depuis mon arrivée à Fès, je découvre peu à peu la ville avec la nouvelle mairie, elle est immense !
J’ai aussi pu voir le Palais Royal, et j ai beaucoup appris sur la ville. En effet, elle était à l’époque la capitale du Maroc, jusqu’à ce que les Français donnent ce statut à Rabat. La ville était fortifiée. Il reste encore les tours de guet au nord et au sud, j’ai pu voir celle du sud. Enfin, j’ai visité l’immense jardin qui faisait à l’époque partie de la propriété royale, et la Bab El Malina, lieu où se tient un festival de musique traditionnelle l’été venu.
En ce qui concerne la gastronomie marocaine, elle est bonne même si pour ce premier mois, je me suis essentiellement nourri de pâtes, mais depuis peu, je prends aussi une espèce de sandwich dans un petit snack traditionnel lorsque je sors du travail vers 21h.
Je projette d’aller essayer le circuit de karting de Meknès. Je suis absolument fan du pilotage sur circuit et cela commence à me manquer, alors dès qu’il y aura un temps plus clément, j’en profiterais. J’aimerais beaucoup le proposer à mes collègues de l’association de Sidi Boujida.
Actuellement, je suis dans ma mission proprement dite en donnant des cours de soutien scolaire en mathématiques et en français aux enfants n’ayant pas les moyens financiers nécessaires pour aller dans un institut ou autre grande école.
The week of visit to Morocco!
Currently on a mission of international civic service in Morocco, I am staying in the residence COS’ONE in Fez. It is located in the new city, Sanabil district. She’s pretty cool. Indeed, the staff is pleasant and it is equipped with a swimming pool.
During my first weekend, in Rabat, I walked a lot. So I was able to visit the Medina first, I also took the opportunity to go to the beach to see the lighthouse, and I went through the large garden, very impressive as the flora is developed there. Then, since my arrival in Fez, I could see the new town hall, it is huge.
I also saw the Royal Palace, and I learned a lot about the city. Indeed, it was at the time the capital of Morocco, until the French give this status to Rabat. The city was fortified. There are still the watchtowers to the north and south, I could see that of the south. Finally, I visited the huge garden that was at the time part of the royal property, and I also saw the Bab El Malina, place where is held a festival of traditional music in summer.
As for Moroccan gastronomy, it is good even if for this first month, I mainly fed pasta, but recently, I also take a kind of sandwich in a small traditional snack when I leave work around 21h.
I plan to try the karting circuit of Meknes. I am absolutely a fan of circuit driving and I am starting to miss it, so as soon as there is a better weather, I will take advantage of it. I would very much like to propose it to my colleagues of the association of Sidi Boujida.
Currently I am in my mission proper by giving tutoring courses in mathematics and French to children who do not have the financial means to go to an institute or other large school.
